Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
- 2 cups tater tots
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion until the beef is browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and mixed vegetables. Season with salt and pepper.
- Pour the beef mixture into a baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Top with tater tots and sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add garlic powder or Italian seasoning. You can use other types of vegetables or different cheeses. A vegetarian version can be made using black beans or lentils.
