Ingredients
- 300g beef strips
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Rice or noodles for serving
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the beef strips and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the onion, bell pepper, garlic, and ginger; stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, and cornstarch (if using).
- Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and vegetables, stirring well to coat.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles.
Notes
For extra tenderness, marinate the beef strips in some sweet chili sauce for a couple of hours before cooking. Adjust spiciness by modifying the amount of sweet chili sauce.
