Delightful stuffed cookies combining classic churro flavors with a creamy filling and a sweet caramel drizzle.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup cream cheese
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a saucepan, combine butter, water, and salt over medium heat until the butter is melted.
- Stir in the flour and mix until it forms a ball. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip.
- Pipe small circles onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- While cookies cool, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla in a bowl until smooth.
- Fill cooled cookies with the cream cheese mixture using a piping bag.
- Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature. Store leftover cookies in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
