A delightful seafood dish combining shrimp and mussels in a rich, creamy garlic sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound mussels, cleaned and debearded
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in the white wine and let it cook for a couple of minutes to reduce.
- Add the shrimp and mussels to the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Cover and cook until the mussels open and the shrimp turns pink.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir until combined; let simmer for a few more minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Serve hot with crusty bread, pasta, or a light salad. Store leftovers in the fridge for 1-2 days.
