A quick and simple shrimp pasta dish with a rich, creamy sauce, perfect for a romantic dinner.
Ingredients
- 8 oz spaghetti
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- In the same skillet, lower the heat and add the heavy cream. Stir and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Mix in the Parmesan cheese until melted and combined.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet, add cooked spaghetti, and toss everything to combine well.
- Cook for another minute to heat through and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes when cooking the garlic. Don’t overcook the shrimp to keep them tender.
