Description

A quick and simple shrimp pasta dish with a rich, creamy sauce, perfect for a romantic dinner.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, lower the heat and add the heavy cream. Stir and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Mix in the Parmesan cheese until melted and combined.
  7. Return the shrimp to the skillet, add cooked spaghetti, and toss everything to combine well.
  8. Cook for another minute to heat through and adjust seasoning if needed.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes when cooking the garlic. Don’t overcook the shrimp to keep them tender.
