Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- Optional: herbs, cheese, or garlic for flavor
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a baking sheet.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Add the milk and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients, stirring to form a dough.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 1 minute until smooth.
- Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
- Optionally, score the top with a knife for decoration.
