Description
Soft and fluffy dinner rolls perfect for scooping up gravy or mopping up sauce.
Ingredients
- 50 g powdered milk (½ cup)
- 240 ml water (1 cup)
- 7 g instant yeast (2 ¼ teaspoons)
- 100 g sugar (½ cup)
- 2 medium eggs (110 g without shell)
- 600 g bread flour (about 5 cups)
- 9 g salt (1 ½ teaspoons)
- 115 g butter (½ cup or 1 stick, softened)
- 10 g oil (2 teaspoons)
Instructions
- Add powdered milk, water, sugar, and instant yeast to a bowl and stir until well combined.
- Add the eggs, bread flour, and salt. Mix on Speed 2 for about 2 minutes until the dough begins to form.
- Increase mixer speed to 4 and knead for 2 minutes.
- Add in softened butter and oil, and knead on Speed 4 for another 4 minutes.
- Switch to Speed 6 and knead for an extra 2 minutes until the dough feels smooth and elastic.
- Transfer the dough to a lightly greased bowl, turning it over to coat the surface.
- Let the dough rise until it doubles in size, then shape it into rolls and let it rise a second time.
Notes
For best results, ensure ingredients are at room temperature. Knead until elastic for fluffy rolls. Don’t rush the rising times.
