Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 cups egg noodles
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are soft.
- Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and stir to combine, cooking for about 1 minute.
- Gradually add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring until the mixture thickens.
- Reduce the heat to low and stir in the sour cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Meanwhile, cook egg noodles according to package instructions.
- Serve the beef stroganoff over the egg noodles and garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a splash of red wine or spices like paprika. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge or freeze for up to 2 months.
