Description

A comforting and nourishing dish featuring ground beef in a creamy sauce served over egg noodles, perfect for weeknight dinners or entertaining friends.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 cups egg noodles
  • Fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are soft.
  4. Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and stir to combine, cooking for about 1 minute.
  5. Gradually add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring until the mixture thickens.
  6. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the sour cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Meanwhile, cook egg noodles according to package instructions.
  8. Serve the beef stroganoff over the egg noodles and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of red wine or spices like paprika. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge or freeze for up to 2 months.
