Description

A quick and nutritious meal that combines pasta and fresh broccoli with a light garlic olive oil sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta of your choice
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)


Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In the last 2 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets to the pasta pot.
  3. Drain the pasta and broccoli, and return them to the pot.
  4. In a separate pan, heat olive oil over medium heat and add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour the garlic oil over the pasta and broccoli, tossing well to combine.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop with a splash of water or olive oil.
