Ingredients
- 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or linguine)
- 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat.
- Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook until shrimp are pink and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low, and stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until melted and combined.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Make sure not to overcook the shrimp. Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese for better flavor.
