Description
A comforting and rich seafood bisque made with crab and shrimp, perfect for special occasions or cozy dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 lb crab meat
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cups seafood stock
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, sauté until soft.
- Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir for about 1 minute.
- Gradually add white wine while stirring, followed by the seafood stock.
- Bring to a simmer and cook for about 10 minutes.
- Add the crab and shrimp, and simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
Use fresh seafood for the best flavor. Adjust the thickness by adding more or less seafood stock. For a smoother texture, blend the bisque before serving.
