Description

A comforting and rich seafood bisque made with crab and shrimp, perfect for special occasions or cozy dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb crab meat
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cups seafood stock
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, sauté until soft.
  2. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir for about 1 minute.
  3. Gradually add white wine while stirring, followed by the seafood stock.
  4. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 10 minutes.
  5. Add the crab and shrimp, and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Use fresh seafood for the best flavor. Adjust the thickness by adding more or less seafood stock. For a smoother texture, blend the bisque before serving.
