Description

A delightful dish featuring spicy Cajun shrimp and salmon paired with creamy garlic sauce, served alongside mashed potatoes and green beans.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 2 cups green beans, trimmed

Instructions

  1. Season the shrimp and salmon with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the salmon and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add shrimp and cook for about 3-4 minutes, until they turn pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  4. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and stir well. Let it simmer for a few minutes, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Add the cooked shrimp and salmon back into the skillet, gently coating them in the garlic cream sauce.
  7. In a separate pot, boil water and cook the green beans for about 4-5 minutes until tender, then drain.
  8. Serve the Cajun shrimp and salmon over a bed of mashed potatoes, drizzle with garlic cream sauce, and add green beans on the side.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add more Cajun seasoning or cayenne pepper. Marinating seafood in lemon juice can enhance flavor.
