Description
A delightful dish featuring spicy Cajun shrimp and salmon paired with creamy garlic sauce, served alongside mashed potatoes and green beans.
Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound salmon fillets
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 2 cups green beans, trimmed
Instructions
- Season the shrimp and salmon with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the salmon and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add shrimp and cook for about 3-4 minutes, until they turn pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir well. Let it simmer for a few minutes, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked shrimp and salmon back into the skillet, gently coating them in the garlic cream sauce.
- In a separate pot, boil water and cook the green beans for about 4-5 minutes until tender, then drain.
- Serve the Cajun shrimp and salmon over a bed of mashed potatoes, drizzle with garlic cream sauce, and add green beans on the side.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add more Cajun seasoning or cayenne pepper. Marinating seafood in lemon juice can enhance flavor.
