Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain the excess fat.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, beef broth, and Italian seasoning. Bring this mixture to a simmer.
- Add the orzo pasta and cook according to the package instructions (about 8-10 minutes), stirring occasionally.
- Once the orzo is cooked, stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil.
