- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup roasted red peppers, sliced
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives
- 1/4 cup banana peppers, sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the Italian sub rolls in half lengthwise, but don’t cut all the way through; keep them connected at the bottom.
- Place the rolls on a baking sheet, cut side up, without overcrowding.
- In a small bowl, melt the unsalted butter in the microwave or on the stove.
- Add garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper to the melted butter.
- Stir well until the seasonings mix completely with the butter.
- Brush the seasoned butter generously over the cut sides of the rolls.
- Layer the salami on the bottom half of each sandwich, spreading it out evenly.
- Follow with a layer of ham, covering the salami.
- Add a layer of pepperoni over the ham, ensuring it covers the entire sandwich.
- Put mozzarella cheese on top of the pepperoni, spreading it evenly.
- Follow with provolone cheese, ensuring it covers all of the previous layers.
- Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the provolone.
- Add sliced roasted red peppers, black olives, and banana peppers evenly on top.
- Place a few fresh basil leaves over the layers for added flavor.
- Bake the sandwiches in the oven for about 10-12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the bread is slightly crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool for a minute.
- Carefully cut the sandwiches into individual portions using a serrated knife.
- Enjoy the sandwiches warm!
Notes
Feel free to customize the meats and cheeses to your liking; adding more vegetables can enhance flavor and crunch.
